Vinnytsia Regional Human Rights Organization «Source of Hope of Ukraine»
For more than 17 years, Vinnytsia Regional Human Rights Organization "Source of Hope of Ukraine" has been strengthening the capacity of community members and non-profits raising awareness of human rights through the cooperation between the community, government, businesses, and the media.
The purpose of the organization is to protect human rights and freedoms, in particular with regard to economic, social, cultural, environmental, and other interests and needs of citizens, especially for women and girls.
The main areas of work:
- combating human trafficking and preventing gender-based violence;
- various support to internally displaced persons;
- youth development;
- support of civil society organizations;
- promoting entrepreneurship among vulnerable populations.
By now, Source of Hope of Ukraine has implemented more than 150 initiatives and projects:
- prevention, reintegration and advocacy activities in the field of combating human trafficking and preventing domestic violence;
- socio-informational, psychological, legal, integration and socio-economic support for IDPs;
- promotion of leadership and volunteering among young people that face difficult life circumstances;
- organizational, technical and programming support for civil society organizations and initiative groups;
- entrepreneurship training, business planning, grant financing of business initiatives and support for beginners.
In 2018-2019, with the support of the Police Training Assistance Project (PTAP) and together with local police, Source of Hope of Ukraine successfully implemented two projects, namely "Raising awareness of children and youth studying in vocational schools of Vinnytsia region on combating human trafficking, safe migration and employment" and "Vinnytsia region without violence: Police and community together for the future".
The "Source of Hope of Ukraine" organization has profound experience in project management, networking and coalitions, in particular as a managing partner. Its largest grant amounted to USD680,000, and the longest project in terms of its period of implementation was 4 years.
