About project

Community Policing Knowledge Hub is a free learning platform dedicated to police-community cooperation to jointly address safety issues. The virtual hub comprises descriptions and steps for the implementation of successful safety initiatives in 22 regions of Ukraine, training materials for the police and community leaders, handouts for outreach activities, other training resources, as well as community policing experience from other countries.

Community Policing Knowledge Hub brings together police, community leaders, local authorities, and other stakeholders around the issues of local safety. At the platform, you will be provided with support to conduct a safety initiative in your community, as well as learn about awareness events and training opportunities throughout Ukraine.

Purpose of the Project:

  • Increase trust between police and communities to address local safety concerns;
  • Strengthen efforts to overcome the safety challenges caused by the war, in particular with regard to conflict-related sexual violence;
  • Expand the capacity of the police to respond to sexual and gender-based violence; introduce zero tolerance to violence;
  • Exchange of training materials and resources on community safety during the war.
