International Experience

The EU countries. the USA, the UK and Canada empoloy a community policing philosophy. It is based on the premise that both the police and the community must closely cooperate to identify, prioritize, and solve community safety and security issues. This cooperation becomes even more fruitful when it also involves representatives of other government agencies and the private sector. In this category, the best global practices of interaction between law enforcement agencies and civil society are collected for study and adaptation in the Ukrainian context.

This section contains the best international practices of interaction between law enforcement agencies and civil society for localization in the Ukrainian context. The information is based on data and statistics provided by official bodies in different countries, as well as personal feedback of police officers who partnered with the Police Stabilization Project (PSP), Canada-Ukraine Police Development Project (CUPDP) and PTAP.
