Community policing in addressing domestic violence

Successful stories in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. The level of domestic violence is hard to assess. After all, physical, sexual, psychological, and economic violence can have hidden forms, and often the offender and/or victim consider such relationships as normal. Therefore, in order to address violence, not only do survivors require support, but they also need to be taught how to identify signs of violence. This has been successfully accomplished in Ivano-Frankivsk by police together with D.O.M.48.24 non-profit organization.
