Canada-Ukraine Police Development Project
The Canada-Ukraine Police Development Project (CUPDP) is a three-year technical assistance project implemented in Ukraine by Agriteam Canada Consulting Ltd. with financial support from the Global Affairs Canada (GAC) in the amount of $6.5 million under the Peace and Stabilization Operations Program (PSOP).
The project aims to provide advisory support, training and equipment for the development of the police training system, raising professional standards and strengthening community orientation towards the reform of the National Police of Ukraine (NPU).
Main Areas of Project Activities:
- Supporting the development of Patrol Police academies
- Capacity building through police training
- Implementation of an integrated approach to the community policing
- Support of the Territorial Community Police Officer, activities of the Ukrainian Association of Women in Law Enforcement (UAWLE).
CUPDP builds on the achievements and results of the Support to Reform of Patrol Police of Ukraine (SRPPU) and the Police Training Assistance Project (PTAP), which since 2015 have been implemented by Agriteam Canada Consulting Ltd. with the financial support of the Global Affairs Canada.
