Information and Training Center for Civil Initiatives
Non-profit organization "Information and Training Center for Civil Initiatives" (ITCCI) started its work in January 2009 as part of a pilot project "Support to Penitentiary Reform in Ukraine" in order to provide comprehensive support to women in difficult life circumstances. ITCCI became an independent organization in 2011.
Its main activities are as follows:
- Mobilization of local communities, civil society institutions and citizens to solve the problems of their cities, regions, or the country and to engage them in the design and monitoring of the decisions related to socio-economic and cultural development of their respective regions and the country as a whole.
- Creating conditions under which the government agencies and the community organizations (both in the regions and on the national level) will be able to implement social initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens on the basis of parity, partnership, common interests and mutual respect.
- Strengthening the capacity of communities and regional non-governmental organizations by improving the skills and competences of their members; implementation of social initiatives aimed at supporting all-round individual development of Ukrainian citizens.
Starting from October 2023, ITCCI has successfully implemented more than 15 social, awareness, and advocacy initiatives and projects with the financial support of Ukrainian and international donors; in addition, the ITCCI team joined 7+ projects as a partner.
