Non-Governmental Organization «Safe Space»
Safe Space non-for-profit organization carries out activities to establish partnerships between the community and the agencies of the security and defence sector in order to effectively counteract gender-based violence, promote respect for human rights, implement democratic and gender equality principles, provide assistance to survivors and restore safety in the communities.
Non-Governmental Organization «Safe Space» established and supported the work of the Community Consultative Group on domestic violence issues in Zaporizhzhia region.
Safe Space NGO offered its facilities to host a Community Safety Hub – a venue to promote communication between the public and the security and defence sector agencies. The objective of the Hub is to offer advice and technical assistance to GBV survivors and to establish partnerships between the community and the police to prevent violence and restore safety in the communities.
«Safe Space» is a member of the regional working group on the localization of the action plan for the implementation of the UN SC Resolution 1325 agenda, a member of the Coordinating Council on Family, Gender Equality, Prevention of Domestic Violence and Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, and a member of the Expert Council at the regional office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Parliament of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia region.
