Road Safety

Road safety is one of the Patrol Police's main areas of focus and an avenue to deliver consistent, ongoing prevention outreach. In addition to being one of the primary Patrol Police responsibilities under the law, road traffic safety is a critical issue for people. Road crash and casualty statistics are overwhelming, and the police do their best to reduce them. Prevention outreach to road users - car drivers, cyclists, bikers, and pedestrians takes the form of meetings, mass attendance events, and joint patrols. Special attention is paid to media cooperation to garner media coverage of road safety issues for a broader public audience.
